Fence Replacement for HOA shared fencing for 2018:
We wanted to notify you that we will be replacing the fences throughout the neighborhood.  The material used will be 8’ steel post, 1x6 Western Cedar pickets with 2x4 runners.  You will receive a notice 1 week prior to the fences being down.  They could be down for approximately 4 to 5 days due to concrete curing so you must make accommodations if you have any pets.  Also, you will want to make sure all your personal property is secure as the HOA will not be responsible for lost or stolen property.  The reason for the fences being replaced are so that we can have them covered under the HOA insurance and for the up keep of the neighborhood which is a maintenance requirement of our Covenants.  The expense will be paid 50/50 between the HOA and the homeowner and will be handled as follows:
-The HOA will pay the full cost upfront so that the home owner will have plenty of time to reimburse the HOA half the cost within two years, however we would appreciate that the amount be paid sooner so that we can accomplish the large task within a year.  Each yard will be measured so you will not pay more than what is your part. That fee will be applied to the account that HOA dues are paid through so you would be able to pay by check or online.
Please note that NO GATES WILL BE ALLOWED and if a gate is installed it will be taken back to original at the homeowner’s full expense.  This is so that the structural integrity of the fence is solid and sound.

~ Community Information ~
The speed limit in ALL of the Apples is 25 MPH. There are many children living in the neighborhoods, please follow the posted speed limits.  This also includes Central Park Drive.
Please be aware that soliciting in the City of Moore, without a permit, is illegal. Also a NO SOLICITING sign has been placed at every entrance for the HOA. This means no soliciting is allowed in the Apple Valley HOA community. If you get some one soliciting and do not wish to tell them no soliciting here, you can contact City of Moore code enforcement and report it. The only one that is protected by law is notes and door hangers on your door, we can not do anything about those, but if they knock on your door you can report it as soliciting.
If a solicitor comes to your door, ask to see their permit.  A solictor should have their permit visibly attached to their clothing, like an identification card.  If they do not have a permit and they want to come inside your home, do not let them in and call the police immediately.
Solicitors with permits know that they can only solicite during daytime hours.  We have received reports of solicitors in our neighborhood attempting to sell vacuums or other items and asking permission to do in-home demonstrations.  Moore police have advised us that these solicitors are often looking for an opportunity to "scope out"  homes in preparation for a burglary.  Do not allow anyone you do not know into your home.

~ Roof Replacements ~
We know many of our neighbors have had roof damage.  We encourage replacing your damaged roofs, if necessary.  We also remind you that you are responsible for submitting an Architectural Request Form before your roof is replaced.  If you have had your roof replaced but did not submit a request, please do so immediately.
**All new roofs must match previous shingle quality and color**

~ Architectural Request Form ~
Anything done to the outside of your home that will change it's appearance requires an approval from the Architectural Committee.
